Yes, you can call me “Anna.” The nickname was given to me by a dear friend who fought the IF law and won. That’s why I picked it for my bloggy life.
I’m a happily married 35 year old woman with a dog. I live in Saskatchewan, Canda and I think it’s the greatest place to live. If I could magically change the weather, it would be even better.
My husband, known as Manny here in Blogland, had a vasectomy before we met, then a reversal, and we found out in 2007 that it had failed. Instead of pursuing IVF/ICSI, we opted for donor sperm. We started trying with donor sperm in May of 2008, and I’m currently pregnant for the first time and due in early November 2009. From real, live, expensive, American sperm. Placed in my lady-bits by a nurse while my husband held my hand and laughed at my jokes. Can’t say I planned on any of this, but I’m oddly grateful for how everything has all turned out.
I knit. I sew. I dance flamenco. I garden. I read a lot. I write my blog. I meditate. I adore my 3 nephews. I’m a yogi again, after a long hiatus. And I think 2009 is going to be a good year, for all of us.

I find it comforting to know there are other people trying for Babies too! Much Baby Luck! kim
Hey lady! I’ve gone private with my blog, and I think I accidentally emailed your gmail account. Now that you are at wordpress, that probably wouldn’t help, eh? Anyways, please send me your email address at m.ifthisworks@blogspot.com so I can send you an invite.
Hi Anna,
Thank you for stopping by my blog. It’s great to hear from you. Although our stories are slightly different, I think we have a lot in common. I look forward to reading your story and sharing this journey with you.

love your blog, your dog and your pix.
be gentle with yourself, this IF road is a rough one.
praying 2009 is a good year for you and manny.
nice to officially ‘meet’ you. I too have been there, with the very expensive ‘Amellican’ donor sperm. $800 and all I got was another miscarriage. Ah well. Life’s like that. I hope 2009 is a good year for all of us in many ways.
I knit, I sew, I garden, I blog, I live in the cold, I try to meditate… I wish I lived near you!
Hi Anna,
I have been out of the blogging loop for months, but I’m thrilled to read that you’re pregnant! I hope to snap out of my anti-blogging funk one of these days . . . congratulations!!
