Starting on Monday, I have really been feeling the baby move. I was feeling it last week but it was very faint and usually didn’t last very long, so it was hard to be sure. But Monday was the day when it became clear that there is a human being in my belly. I was talking to my sister last night and asked to talk to my nephew, O, who is 5. Here’s how it went down:
Me: Hi, O! Tantie has something really special to tell you.
O: What is it?
Me: Remember how I told you I have a baby in my belly?
O: Yes.
Me: Well, I can feel the baby moving all around now!
O: (Long pause as if he’s thinking of what to say.) Sweet!
I can’t believe how great his slang usage is – before we know it, he’ll be swearing like a trucker to make his Tantie and her homegirl, Eden, very proud.

Hehehe Sweet !
So happy you are feeling lots of movements, it continues to amaze me.
Enjoy every bit of it
One of my nephews said “cool” when I told him I was pregnant and I had a similiar reaction. They are so cute.
I am so envious of what you are feeling although I know my time will come soon enough. I am still utterly amazed that we have both ended up here. I continue to smile when I think of you.
That’s so awesome that you are feeling movement!
It’s so cute that he calls you Tantie… that’s how you say auntie in Romanian also… Gabe’s nieces & nephews call me that.
Annnnn-AHHHH.
OMG how did I miss your big fat juicy pregnancy-related post below?? You are going into my favourites, STAT.
Tantie IS so cute …. that is the Australian slangword for “tantrum”, heh.
I love that you can feel the baby move. I love that you peed into a Hello Kitty cup. I read that and thought, of COURSE Anna has a Hello Kitty cup. I love that this is happening right now to you. I’m so excited I could shit my pants.
XOXOXOXOXOXO
So exciting to feel the baby move. And so cool that you can share that with your nephew. Love it. Love, love, love it.
How exciting! Movement!!
If you’re bored, or like memes, I’ve given you an “award” on my blog. Feel free to tackle it if you’re in a sharing mood
For me, it feels like my heart is skipping a beat–just about a foot and a half lower than usual.
How sweet it is!
So cute! And it is sweeet isn’t it?
That is so sweet! For you too!
HAH. He is TOO FUNNY! I love hearing kids sort out when to use slang and when not to. That’s actually the marker of a significant stage of language development (knowing that there can be more than one word for a concept, and that certain words are used situationally). Cool!
I’m glad you’re feeling movement!
I also feel pretty advanced, because yesterday, my two year old kept saying “Dammit.”
Thanks for your comment on my blog today — very reassuring to know that I’m not alone. I’m so glad you are feeling movement — so exciting! Look forward to seeing your story unfold….
Sweet indeed!
